BASIC OUTLINE:

To get things strait!

CJRFM's setting bases itself in an alternate futuristic London (no date decided yet but it takes elements ranging from the early nineties to Today) Looming metallic Glass structures, High motorways lit with neon lights and beautiful celetial skies. However this gleamy cityscape is not all perfect and sparkly as one may think for it is juxtaposed with run down shanty town council housing overgrown in weeds and moss like ruins of an old forgotten past. A city torn between Crime syndicates, Secret societies and a youth of Cyber Sound Gangs that make beef with graffiti, parkour and urban rave music. This may sound like doom and gloom at this point. But with darkness comes light as some would say. That light being the kids of CJRFM.

CJRFM is an acronym for "Concrete Jungle Radio (fm)" An Illegal pirate broadcasting station based at the top of a large block of flats, Operated by a group of cheery Junglist kids ( aka: "The Radio Crew" ). The Station specialises in Urban street music. Playing and spreading the sounds of Jungle, Drum and Bass, Dubstep, Breakbeat Hardcore music and Future Garage, also advertising the latest rave parties and Record sales for some extra cash. The radio station is constantly under threat from the Police (The DTI unit that works in dealing with radio transmissions) ,  Rival Radio stations with related gangs and a low budget to simply keep it running.

Our story begins with a side character. A lousy ferret detective who goes by the name Frank. Due to some unfortunate work incident he is forced to move and live somewhere he can actually afford. That place happens to be a tiny cramped apartment in the high rise C block on Kento estate residents. By day; a quiet and partially abandoned place that resembles a somewhat "Concrete Jungle" Literally. By night. Well that you have to wait and see. One night Frank realises his shabby home isn't as quiet as he thought as he hears the gritty roaring vibration of the infamous radio headquarters stationed right above him. The annoyed Ferret thinking his life couldn't get any worse decides to investigate the noise on his own. It is then he meets The radio Crew. A surprisingly pleasant bunch of kids who are more than meets the eye. Soon Frank finds himself plummeting into a world of loud music, Parties, Attractive girls, Conspiracies and unexpected Danger. ...

Whether he likes it or not.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Something WORTH noting: While Frank is a stage setter he is NOT a main character. (haha sorry Frank) I dunno I just find it Generic how the main character is always fully explained right at the start! I find the approach of a minor character much more appealing. Seeing the character development though they're eyes as opposed to a more up front and self narrative way. If that makes sense. Man what am I saying? There isnt really a main character. The Radio Crew are pretty much all equal :P

CONCERNS! One of my concerns is about the American readers (which is probably more than half of you) Does this sound appealing to you? Or is this too british? :S ALSO Think about this. Im trying to get soemthing quite musically orientated onto paper without video or audio support. This is kind of hard since You can't really listen to the music described in the comic sooo yah :P But ill try my very best!

There are a couple of links to some Interesting videos to help you understand the concept better! "Check the Description!"

This would fit better under Prose, or Fan Art/Fan Fiction, than Scripts & Screenplays.

Obalisk nailed it perfectly, it helps introduce us to unique cultural elements distinctive & a fresh air in this oversaturated mundane world of K-Pop gals, Justin Biebers & Eminems. I'm all for the Britishness and Drum n' Bass, also love studying the unique parallels even b/w our counterparts both modern & traditional (esp. Japanese & Korean Culture) so GO FOR IT! :star:

Haha thankyou! I just wanted to do something differn't ya know but also at the same time something im quite familiar with. I think its strange that UK Drum and Bass culture hasn't had the same impact that USA Hip Hop had. I find it very inspiring haha ;P Just my way of exposing it.. that combined with more familiar elements such as Anthro and japanese art styles that everyone can relate too ;P

I think it has to do with violent yet ear-catchy stories, cultural leading icons & minimal yet catchy structure in USA Hip Hop. Very easy to make & work (not to mention exploit :x) even in mainstream.
UK DnB is more about music & sheer power, transcends lyrics, way more complex & musically open than ye olde Nightclub DJing. Even mainstream can't comprehend DnB as a whole so it remains dignified, kind of like Metal Music in a sense. :star:
