Mr Wolfs Police Robots TEAM HAPPI BOMB // CJRFM

Art Jack Stevenson 2011

If you saw my poll a few days Ago you would probably be aware that I was adding robots to the mix. Since CJRFM is supposedly set in an alternative future It fits the whole scene alot more.

Here I present the standard model of the mysterious Mr Wolfs metropolitan robot police force. Some hardcore law enforcement is going down in New London.

Yes thats a giant police baton on their back! XD ... they do have gun weapons but they are hidden away in their armor ;)

They go pretty bangin to this music ;P [link]

Was heavily inspired by the old fashioned anthro Bulldog policemen which were quite an iconic trait in childrens books back in my grandmas time. Also heavily inspired by the securitron robots in the 2010 game "Fallout New Vegas" I just love how creepy they are... okay its not edsactly creepy.. its just something... I dunno I love em and thats the point ;P

Huge shoutout to :iconinfernal-blaze: for coming up with the idea of Sub woofers on their shoulders! Thats wicked! ;P

Please Comment! ;P

I know what you mean about securitrons being creepy, they always look like they're watching you, you can never tell exactly where they're looking but it's like they ALWAYS know where you are and what you're doing...

Not sure if the mono-wheel goes with this design, especially given the music. I visualize something with legs that are good for stomping/marching as opposed to rolling around...

That said, I can see the mono-wheel version being a variant that would be called in for high-speed chases and such.

...or to be extra creepy, have the bots normally walk around but to into mono-wheel mode when the baddies think they've managed to outrun the big, slow walking bot.

That's pretty intense music, and appropriate. It makes the police force seem intimidating, but more sterile authority than malicious or tyrannical. Does what I am saying make sense? More suppressive than oppressive. So I'm intimidated, but not tempted to hate or rebel. Was that the intention?
...They are robots, that would make sense...
Ya know those things that come off as kid friendly, then they make a sequel for an older audience. It can sound awkward on paper but has potential to be bad@$$. Well, this is kind of doing that to me, not that I saw the iconic bulldog stuff in MY childhood (I'm American), but you are taking something that I can recognise that through your drawing-it came from something iconic, and now it's rated T for teen.
Best example of what I'm talking about. Play the first Jak and Daxter for ps2, then Jak 2 and you'll know what I'm talking about.
I and from what I've heard a lot of people have already made comparisons of this work's similarities to Jet Set Radio Future, but right now another game I'm getting reminded of is Fur Fighters: Viggo's revenge. It seems like this artwork is reminding me of those two games mostly, but with dashes of Mark Ecko's getting up mixed in.

Well I was expecting rusted down one eyed drones rather than cartoony robotic dogs but hey this works too
